Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people's or companies' products or services. But how do we get paid? Here are the 3 affiliate program payment arrangements.

3 Affiliate Compensation Methods Animators Need to Know

1. Pay Per Sale (PPS)

Pay Per Sale (PPS)

In this program, the merchant pays the affiliate a percentage of the sale price of the animation product or service after the client purchases it. In other words, the affiliate makes money when the purchase is completed.

2. Pay Per Click (PPC)

Pay Per Click (PPC)

Affiliates make money based on the number of visitors redirected from their marketing platform to the merchant's animation website. This means the affiliate must engage the visitors to the extent that they will move from the affiliate’s site to the merchant’s site.

3. Pay Per Lead (PPL)

Pay Per Lead (PPL)

The Affiliate gets compensated based on the conversion of leads. The client needs to visit the merchant’s website and complete the desired action - like filling out a contact form, signing up for a trial of an animation product, subscribing to an animation newsletter, or downloading animation software or animation files.
