Affiliate Marketing is a system where an affiliate gets paid by promoting the merchant’s products. In general, there are 3 parties involved in the affiliate marketing system:

The Merchant

Also known as the creator, this is the party that creates and owns the product.

The Affiliate

Also known as the publisher. This party has the power to influence clients to buy a product or service and can earn anywhere from a few hundred dollars to tens of millions of dollars in commissions each month.

The Customer

They’re the ones who buy the product or service promoted by the affiliate.
