As the pandemic rages on, bands and artists will need to continue adapting how they entertain and engage with their fans. Here are 5 animated music videos that have been created for iconic artists:
1) "My Future" by Billie Eilish
Andrew Onorato is the Aussie animator and illustrator behind Billie Eilish’s "my future" which has 65 million views on YouTube.
2) "Sour Candy" by Lady Gaga & Black Pink
The production of "Sour Candy" was led by motion capture performer Sam Rolfes, a 3D animator and graphic designer. Billboard said the lyric video "is a trip into a digital playground of the imagination."
3) "Hallucinate" by Dua Lipa
Lisha Tan directed the video and collaborated with Dua Lipa and other creatives to create a fully animated music video for "Hallucinate." Tan is well known for her illustrations and animation style. The animated video is inspired by disco and cartoons from multiple iconic eras.
4) "Daisies" by Katy Perry
The lyric video for "Daisies" utilizes color blocking. The animation team consisted of companies Moving Colour and 2Veinte, plus director Vallée Duhamel, Brian Covalt, and a list of other outstanding creatives. Recently, Perry has also released a slew of animated videos for her album, Smile.
5) "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley & Wailers
Bob Marley’s "Three Little Birds" was produced by Seed Animation. The clips featured the Big Bad Wolf, Three Little Pigs, and the titular Three Little Birds. The video comes as part of Marley75, a year-long celebration for the reggae legend.
