The primary distinction between push and pull marketing lies in how you approach your consumers. To better understand, here's the difference between push and pull marketing:

Push Marketing VS Pull Marketing

Push Marketing

Push marketing is a strategy focused on “pushing” products or services to specific clients. The goal is to bring what you offer to clients in your marketing. Social media channels are considered to be “push” sources. They’re great for launching new or niche services.

Pull Marketing

The goal of pull marketing is to get animation clients to come to you. Common tactics used for pull marketing include mass media promotions, word-of-mouth referrals, advertised sales promotions, and the most common tactic is search engine marketing. Pull marketing attempts to create brand loyalty and keep clients coming back.
